Common Questions About At-Home Hearing Care

Can you come to retirement homes or care facilities?

Yes, we’re able to deliver care right at your bedside or in your home. All we need is a quiet area and a small surface for setting up a laptop. With our portable diagnostic equipment, we can provide professional audiological services almost anywhere. We partner with several care homes throughout Toronto and the surrounding areas, serving clients both privately and through these collaborations. Our mobile services are designed to bring personalized, high-quality care directly to each resident based on their individual needs.

How much do at-home audiology services cost? Are they covered by OHIP?

OHIP does not cover audiology services, whether they are provided in a clinic or at home. Our pricing follows the recommended fee schedule set by Speech-Language & Audiology Canada. Below are the fees for some of our most common appointments:

At-home Hearing Assessment & Hearing Aid Evaluation/Ear Wax Removal – $220

Outside-Purchased Hearing Aids Overhaul (includes a new assessment, reprogramming, verification, and repairs if needed) – $406

An additional $50 travel fee applies for locations more than 45 minutes from midtown Toronto.

How much do hearing aids cost?

Hearing aid pricing can vary and is typically offered as a bundled package that includes the devices, warranty, programming, and ongoing service. On average, costs range from $4,500 to $7,000 per pair, depending on the level of technology.

The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) offers partial funding of $500 per hearing aid every 3–5 years for individuals with a valid Ontario health card.

Do you sell specific hearing aid brands?

We are independently owned and not tied to any specific hearing aid manufacturer, meaning we have no sales quotas or financial obligations to a single brand. However, we maintain strong relationships with all major manufacturers and offer a wide range of options. We prescribe and dispense hearing aids from leading brands such as ReSound, Phonak, Signia, Widex, Starkey, Oticon, Bernafon, and Unitron.

What do you need to perform a hearing test at home?

We simply require a quiet space and a small area to set up our portable equipment. Our technology allows us to perform full diagnostic testing in your home.

Do you accept 3rd party coverage & funding from government programs?

Yes, we collaborate with and can directly bill third-party programs, including Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), and Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB). We are also an approved vendor and authorizer under the Assistive Devices Program (ADP).

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit card payments in person, over the phone, or through our secure online payment portal. We also accept e-transfers ([email protected]), cheques, and cash. An itemized receipt is always provided for insurance purposes.
